We had to stop cleaning house when Cocoa decided to come out and pose for photos.

Cocoa is not available for adoption.

Biff (formerly Buffy)

Biff is such a good looking cat! He's one of those "I hope no one adopts him" kinds of cats. His face is beautiful, and his fur feels like velvet.

We've been working on Biff, helping him overcome his attitude. He's not a cuddle kitty at all. But there was a time when you couldn't hold him at all. Now Bill will rub around my ankles and talk to me or purr loudly, or jump up on the chair and wait for me to pick him up. He's still not a squeeze-n-snuggle kind of guy, and he only tolerates being held for a short time, but he now purrs when I hold him. He's made great improvements.

Biff was neutered and vaccinated around Thanksgiving. I imagine that has something to do with him becoming more mellow. I've seen this happen in other male cats who were not particularly friendly. Most recently, out black kitty, Bear, was much like Biff. Bear is now a big baby and loves to be carried around and loved.

Buffy & Polly Pocket

Polly Pocket was adopted last weekend! Do I ever miss that kitty! She would have to earn the Miss Congeniality award of all the cats. I don't know that I've ever met a cat who was more sweet or loving than Polly.

Buffy is such a gorgeous young man. He's not a snuggle bunny, though, which is unfortunate. He's really soft and plush. We're working on him, though. Hubby calls Buffy his "project." We're all giving Buff more attention to try to help him become more social.

Buffy isn't a wild cat by any means. He just doesn't want to be held nor cuddled. He has moments where he'll rub around my ankles which means "Pick me up for 15 seconds, then let me go!"

We had the litter of youngest kittens altered and vaccinated last week. I'm so thankful our regular vet gives us a discount. Even so, it still ran $400 to fix five kittens.

Yes, I know Spay Tulsa does it for less, but they don't vaccinate for feline leukemia. If I have any after-surgery problems with the kitties, I know my vet is going to be available to help.

Kittens, born mid July?

The Cat House is home to two orange male (Buffy & TJ, below) and one tabby female (Nany, left) kitten, probably born about mid-July. They were discovered in the shed when they were about 4 weeks old, brought into captivity and bottle fed until weaned. These babies took to humans right away. They're very affectionate and purrful, as well a cute little buggers! These kitties are too young to alter, so their new owners will be responsible for that task when they are between 4 and 6 months old. Their diet is strictly Nutro dry kitten formula (no Iams nor Science Diet, definitely no Purina or bargain kitty food). They are available for adoption to a quality home.

Groucho

This little guy is going to be hard to part with. Not only is he an adorable cat, he's squeezable... almost like a Beanie Baby. He's a brother to Tanner, Nut, Cheerio, and Bear.

Groucho is going to be a pretty good sized cat. He's a little bigger and a little heavier than all his brothers. We have an older tuxedo kitty, related to Groucho, who weighs about fourteen pounds. I expect Groucho will grow to about that size.

Groucho was neutered and vaccinated on October 3. His adoption fee is $45. This is a bargain for Groucho's new owner.

Groucho eats Nutro dry kitten food. If you adopt Groucho, please keep him on the same food, or a food of comparable quality, such as Natural Balance or Blue Spa.

Adopted!

Polly Pocket is truly a girl's kitty. She's by far the sweetest, most loving kitty of the Junior Kittens. She's the runt of the litter found in mid-May. Had we not found her and started feeding her, I really don't think she would have made it.

Her small size and tiny mew don't reflect the size of her heart. Polly is a real snuggler. She'll thrive in any household that has a lot of attention to shower on her.

Polly was spayed and vaccinated on October 3. Her sutures are healing nicely and she can be adopted right away. Her adoption fee is $45.00.

Polly is fed Nutro dry kitten food. She needs to continue the same quality food. We frown upon Science Diet, Iams, Pruina, or any brand available at grocery stores and discount stores.

Adopted! Tanner

Tanner and his littermates were discovered about mid-May in the shed. Approximately 3 weeks old at the time, they were all bottle-fed until 6 to 8 weeks.

Tanner is fed Nutro dry kitten food.

Tanner is quite a people kitty. He lives for attention and is quite a chatter box. Tanner will make an excellent companion kitty for someone.

He's quite a handsome cat with his bold stripes and gold eyes. Being a house kitty, it goes without saying that he's a good boy and does his business in the box.

Tanner was neutered and vaccinated on October 3, and his adoption fee is $45.
